When You’re Ready, We’re Here. Whether you need crisis intervention, safety planning, counseling, or legal advocacy, our teams in Henderson County, Van Zandt & Rains Counties, and Wood County are ready to support you.
We’ve served Henderson County and surrounding communities for 30 years. In 1992, we began in a small county-provided office; by the generosity of the Ginger Murchison Foundation and the Cain Foundation, we opened a fully functional outreach office on August 21, 2008.
Our Henderson County team, alongside dedicated volunteers, provides confidential counseling, advocacy, and connections to resources for survivors of family violence and sexual assault. In 2021 alone, we supported 171 survivors in this area, and we’re here for you too.
Since 1991, our Van Zandt outreach office has helped survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, and sexual assault with services that meet both urgent and ongoing needs, crisis intervention, safety planning, support groups, peer counseling, shelter access, legal advocacy, limited financial assistance, transportation to emergency shelter, and medical accompaniment.
Our HEART Support Group meets weekly to provide a safe space for survivors to connect and heal. For meeting days and hours, please contact our Van Zandt County Victim Advocate.
We are also seeking volunteers to join our advisory committee to help us better serve survivors in the community. If you are interested, call our office.
The Wood County Outreach Office serves survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and other violent crimes. We are available during office hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Services include crisis intervention, safety planning, support groups, peer counseling, shelter access, economic education classes, legal advocacy, limited financial assistance, transportation to emergency shelter, and medical accompaniment.
We’re here to help and support you in any way we can.
