In 1991, the East Texas Crisis Center expanded and opened its first outreach office in Canton, Van Zandt County. Later in 1992, the Henderson County operation started and finally followed by the Wood & Rains Counties. Through out 2009 we served 410 victims of family violence and 123 victims of sexual Assault.
The Henderson County operation was established in 1992 with a one small office courtesy of the Henderson County Government. After 16 years of operation in this county and with the generosity of the Ginger Murchison Foundation and the Cain Foundation, our outreach office now OWNS a fully functional office which will better serve victims of family violence and sexual assault in this area. The grand opening of this facility was held on August 21, 2008.
The East Texas Crisis Center in Henderson County is supported by an advisory committee and group of volunteers who are dedicated to the mission of the agency in providing solutions to victims served in the county.
